Brushing your Dogs Teeth
Does this conjure up visions of running after your Dog with a toothbrush ? Could this be mission impossible ? It doesn’t have to be.
This is a service we have been looking at offering for a while, and we believe the investment in qualifications and appropriate kit has been worth it, as we can now help you look after your dogs teeth.

The Small Print.
There have been several reasons why we have taken a while to bring this service to the salon. When the ultrasonic toothbrushes were first launched, some understanding of the marketing was ambiguous, especially around claims of not having to pay for vet treatment.
Cleaning Dogs teeth is very much like cleaning our own, in that it doesn’t negate the need for dental check ups. There are still procedures that need to be carried out by a vet in the same way we would expect a dentist to carry out services for us.
There was also a concern that as Dog grooming relies on self regulation, we wanted to do the utmost in the way of training to ensure this service was carried out correctly and not breaching any legislation. It is not a legal requirement at present to offer this service without training or qualification . Not something we are happy with so an investment was made in gaining the IPEt Level 3 Award in Canine Oral Hygiene.
