We are fortunate been based in South West Wales, when we go away, the dogs and kids dont become stressed in the car. We have just come back from a weekend  with the caravan, at Pembrey Country park. Situated just outside the main entrance is the caravan club site. We have used this on a number of occasions. There is no charge for the dogs, and as club members this cost us £46 for two adults and two kids for two nights. Whilst on site dogs must be kept on a lead, but there are areas off the site in Pembrey Country park, where they can be let off. I know most owners do act responsibly, but please scoop your poop, as this was the only thing really that I didnt enjoy seeing.
Owning a small van is handy, as I can safely transport the three dogs, two in their crates and one in a harness. (Should you require crates or guards for your vehicle I can recommend Dog Guards R Us)
During the main season, the dogs are not allowed on one part of the beach….but dont panic, this still leaves them with six miles of sand and sea to play in!
Depending which side you approach from, it can look a little grim, but once you are in the site, you are surrounded by lovely greenery, and of course there is the Country Parks woods and trails to explore.
There are other places with dog friendly accomodation nearby, and along with holidays nationally, details can be found on Dogs Invited.
Ive not yet mastered holding two leads and a camera, so apologise for the lack of pics, you could always join us at Dog and Bone Grooming on facebook. Or if you can recommend any dog friendly places local to us, please feel free to give us a shout!
