I have been grooming for over 20 years and hold a BSc (Hons) in Animal Welfare and Behaviour, as well as a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and teaching qualifications. I set up Dog and Bone to create the kind of grooming experience I wanted for my own dogs two decades ago. Although I couldn’t have a dog growing up, I was always surrounded by them and have certainly made up for it since—my life now revolves around dogs. I believe that welfare and creating the right environment are far more important than aesthetics, and Dog and Bone was built entirely around that philosophy.
Throughout my grooming career, I have carried this welfare-first approach into everything I do, including teaching and mentoring other groomers and helping them to set up their own successful, welfare-focused businesses. I have now retired from teaching and work from a small, quiet salon on an appointment-only basis with a carefully selected client base, ensuring I can give each dog the time, attention, and calm environment they deserve.
Dog and Bone Grooming is led by Chris, a qualified professional holding a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, alongside a Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management
