 The Groomers

Our Senior Groomer and Tutor, Chris, is in his fifteenth year as a dog groomer. He holds a Professional Diploma in Dog Grooming, obtaining a Distinction, City and Guilds Level II Dog Grooming and OCN Level 3 Diploma He holds a BSc(Hons) In Animal Behaviour and Welfare, and followed this up with a P.G.C.E. teaching qualification. He is one of the longest established qualified dog groomers in the area.

Chris primarily works in the salon now, helping others develop their skills en route to becoming qualified Dog Groomers. He will insist this is only  to fund his merry gang of rescue and re-homes. These include: West Highland Terriers, Yorkie x’s, a Labradoodle, poodles, shih-tzus, a shih-tzu x poodle and a very mischievous beagle.

Ashlee originally came on a work placement whilst completing Her Foundation Degree in Animal Science. Her work ethic and way with dogs, ensured we did our best to encourage her to stay. She  also holds BSc(Hons)in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, and is working towards her Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. We are proud to say she now manages our Newcastle Emlyn Salon. Her own dog is a Jack Russell.

Harriet joined us this year, holding her City and Guilds Level 2. She is a proud poodle mom and currently awaiting her results for her Level 3 City and Guilds. Harriet has taken over the running of our mobile salon service which covers a large part of South West Wales.

Our newest team member is Gabrielle . It was a bit like the buses, you spend ages waiting for the right one and then two come along at once. She is working towards her Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon management and will be responsible for the running of our new salon at Haverfordwest. Her initial introduction to Dog Grooming was through her own and family member’s dogs, having previously worked as a hairdresser she has had a lot of practice with her scissors

Our Standards

Our business has been set up to reflect what we demanded in a grooming service. Namely  a pleasant environment for the dogs, one to one grooming, quality products and service, no waiting around in crates.

We have always had an open door policy, and have always groomed using minimal restraint and positive encouragement for behaviour. If you wish you can watch your dog been groomed or sit and relax with a cuppa, whilst we do the hard work.

Through our one on one working we aim to provide a less stressful environment, and an enjoyable experience for your best friend. This is why we operate strictly by appointment only.

We use only naturally or organically based shampoos and conditioners as standard. These may not be the cheapest, but as we wouldn’t use anything less for our dogs, why would we for yours?

If you would like to know more about us, or visit prior to your dog been groomed, please feel free to email or ring us

Where Are We?
